The fastest way to bank a country is sometimes to start as something people already trust.
stc pay began inside a telecom, with the distribution and trust a new bank would spend years building, and moved more than 12 million users onto a wallet for payments and remittances. The central bank then licensed it as a full digital bank. Saudi Arabia now settles more than 70 percent of payments digitally, a Vision 2030 target hit years early.
