The Gulf is building its own intelligence layer.

In 2025 Saudi Arabia's HUMAIN began standing up an AI factory with Nvidia - 18,000 GB300 GPUs in the first phase, scaling to 500 megawatts - while SDAIA trained ALLaM, a 7-billion-parameter Arabic model, from scratch on 5.2 trillion tokens.

The decision: own the model and the machines, so Arabic AI answers to the region that speaks it.
