Invisible Giant
One integration. Forty-plus countries.
The Global South is not a payment problem to solve. It is the market the rest of the world now has to reach on its own terms.
When the checkout finally works for the customer in Lagos, Jakarta, or Bogota, the whole world can trade with them.
dLocal, out of Montevideo, built a single connection that carries more than 600 global merchants into 40-plus countries across Africa, Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America, through some 900 local payment methods - the wallet, the cash voucher, the bank transfer each customer actually uses.
The decision that mattered: let the customer's own way of paying define the rail, not the card the merchant expected.
The Global South is the market the rest of the world now has to reach on its own terms.
